Uniform and Clothing

Uniform is not compulsory at nursery. We would simply ask that you dress your child in such a way that they are comfortable and can play in a range of situations without being hampered by clothing which trips them up.

They will need to take themselves to the toilet, put on their own coat and sometimes change their shoes or put on waterproofs. They will need clothing that they can undo and do up by themselves, and coat fastenings which are easy to manage.

Many parents choose our uniform because it meets many of these needs. It consists of:

red sweatshirt or cardigan
pale blue polo shirt
a fleece
a baseball cap

Each is either embroidered with our logo or printed with the nursey name.

These can be obtained readily in a number of shops however, if you would llike to buy ones with an embroided school logo you can order them through the school office.. Alternately you may wish to purchase plain red sweatshirts and blue polo shirts from high street stockists.
Children do have access to the outdoors in all weathers, so please ensure that your child is appropriately dressed in practical clothing. This means covering up in the sunshine, and warm coats and jumpers in the cooler weather.

We do provide waterproof trousers and jackets, but your child will need a pair of wellington boots, marked with their name in each boot.
